Why GPA Clarity exists
GPA math is straightforward once every number is available, but the questions students ask are rarely simple: What happens if I earn an A in this class? Can I reach my target this term? What score do I need on the final? GPA Clarity brings those questions into one focused calculator.
The goal is not to pressure students or promise a particular outcome. It is to make the arithmetic visible. Students can change a grade, compare a realistic and best-case plan, estimate a retake, or test a target without creating an account.

Accuracy and school policies
GPA Clarity uses a generic 4.0 plus/minus scale. A+, A, and A- are represented as 4.0, 4.0, and 3.7; the scale continues through D- at 0.7, while F and WU count as 0.0. W, CR, and NC are excluded from GPA units in the calculator.
Schools differ. Some award extra points for A+, use different plus/minus values, cap repeat forgiveness, average both attempts, or calculate major GPA separately. GPA Clarity is an independent planning tool and is not affiliated with a school, university, registrar, or academic advising office.
